The 2010 edition of the Lane Automotive Car Show was a "...REALLY BIG SHOW!" The unofficial show car count at the Saturday May 29th event topped 1,600 and the weather, as promised, was sunny, with temperatures in the low 80's. Over 16,000 show attendees came from all over the Midwest (and as far away as Pennsylvania) to enjoy the spectacle which included everything from restored antiques to rumbling hot rods, muscle cars and off-road vehicles. There truly was something for everyone. Nitro fans were treated to the sounds and smells of an even dozen well-tuned funny cars and dragsters revving their engines during the 10th Annual Nitro Noisefest. Spectators thrilled to the outrageous horsepower and torque numbers generated by some of the wildest street machines on the planet as they took the Lane Automotive Chassis Dyno Challenge. Engine technology teams from several area vocational/educational automotive programs actively competed in the Second Annual Hot Rodders of Tomorrow Engine Builder Challenge. Over thirty 1970 cars and trucks were displayed in the 40th Anniversary Circle. All in all, it was an event to remember.

We would be remiss if we didn't mention the outstanding turnout for our fourth annual Open Header Cruise on Friday night May 28th. Over one hundred and twenty enthusiastic hot rodders came out to take part in our newly expanded, five mile long cruise through downtown Coloma and Watervliet.

Our heartfelt thanks go out to everyone who chose to come out on Friday and Saturday and spend a portion of their holiday weekend with us.
