American Late Model Series (ALMS)

The ALMS series is a traveling group of dirt late model racers that compete on tracks in Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana and West Virginia. This series runs under United Midwestern Promoters (UMP) rules and awards points toward the UMP national and state championships.

ASA Late Model Series

ASA Late Model Series

The ASALMS sanctions races for template bodied, crate engined asphalt late models throughout the country. The three main divisions of the ASA are The North Division, The South Division, and The National Touring Divsion.

ASA Midwest Tour

ASA Midwest Tour

The purpose of the ASA Midwest Tour is to bring to you the excitement of Asphalt Short Track racing directly to your local racing facility. Excitement is something that has been lacking in the short track world, and series officials are creating something from the past while inserting the new. The ASA Midwest Tour will not only bring you the biggest stars in the Midwest, it will bring back some of the "old" while creating the "new". The series works with stars from the past while building a series that can develop the stars of the future. The biggest and most important thing about the ASA Midwest Tour is the rules package. This package allows locals from each racing facility to run their Super Late Models against the traveling stars. There are many options available for the locals to compete, as engines from all over the Midwest are welcome. These options include 9 to 1, ACE, Crate, Concept, Sealed SLM engines as well as others that meet local track rules.

This 3/8 mile, high banked, asphalt oval located in Angola, IN, features Limited Late Model, IMOD, Factory Stock and Mini Stock racing events on Saturday nights. Several special events are are also scheduled throughout the season.

Auto Value Super Sprints (AVSS)

Auto Value Super Sprints (AVSS)

The AVSS runs 410 C.I. winged sprint cars on paved tracks in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and Ontario Canada. These pavement rockets hold track records at the majority of the tracks that they compete on and provide exciting side-by-side competition.

Baer Field Raceway

Baer Field Raceway

This historic track, located in Fort Wayne, IN, features Late Models, Street Stocks, Mini Stocks, Front Wheel Drives, and Modifieds competing on 3/8 and 1/2 mile paved ovals. Saturday is race night and specials are scheduled throughout the season.

Berlin Raceway

Berlin Raceway

Berlin is located just west of Grand Rapids in Marne, MI and features Saturday night racing on the 7/16 mile paved oval. Racing classes include Late Models, Super Stocks and Pro Stocks and Sportsmen. Berlin hosts touring series like ASA, AVSS, ARCA, CRA and also has specials with NASCAR drivers competing with the local racers.

Butler Speedway

Butler Speedway

Butler Motor Speedway, the fastest 3/8 high-banked dirt track in Michigan, is located north of Quincy, Michigan. Saturday night racing features Sprint, UMP Late Model, Factory Stock and Sportsman classes. Butler Motor Speedway incorporates whole family entertainment and specials throughout their season.

Championship Racing Association (CRA) Super Series

Championship Racing Association (CRA) Super Series

The CRA Super Series races template bodied Super Late Models on asphalt tracks in Tennessee, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, and Missouri. Super Series events range from 100 to 400 laps on tracks from 1/4 to 5/8 mile.

Eldora Speedway

Historic Eldora Speedway, which is located in Rossburg, OH, is one of the nation’s premiere dirt track facilities. The half mile, high banked dirt oval plays host to an ambitious schedule of special events featuring Sprint Cars, Late Models, Modifieds, Midgets, and Street Stocks. High paying events include the Late Model Dream and World 100 for Late Models along with The King's Royal and Mopar Thunder for Sprint Cars.

Galesburg Speedway

Galesburg Speedway

Galesburg (MI) Speedway is a flat 1/4 mile asphalt oval located 10 miles east of Kalamazoo. Saturday night races feature Late Models, Factory Stocks, Pure Stocks and Mini Stocks. Galesburg, which has been in operation for 59 years, also holds special events on Sundays several times each season.

GingerMan Raceway

GingerMan Raceway

GingerMan is a 1.88 mile road course located in South Haven, MI and features a wide variety of road racing events including car and motorcycle racing. GingerMan, which is situated on a 330-acre site, twists left and right and up and down on the naturally rolling landscape. The facility is also widely used as a test facility for professional racing operations.

Hartford is a banked 1/2 mile dirt track that features UMP Late Models, UMP Factory Stocks, UMP Modifieds and Pure Stocks for their weekly Friday night shows. Specials include SOD Sprints and ALMS Late Models.

HOSS runs winged 410 C.I. Sprint Cars at paved tracks in Indiana, Ohio, Wisconsin and Iowa.

Interstate Racing Association (IRA)

The Bumper-To-Bumper IRA Sprint Series runs winged outlaw 410 C.I. Sprint Cars at dirt tracks in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa. The IRA is a member-based organization and one of the premier 410 sprint sanctioning groups in the nation.

I-96 Speedway

I-96 Speedway

I-96 holds races on both 1/4 and 1/2 mile dirt tracks every Friday night. Classes include UMP Late Models, UMP Modifieds, Non Winged Sprint Cars, Hobby Stocks, and Mini Stocks. Specials include Sprints On Dirt, Harley Davidson Grand Nationals and ASCS National Series Sprint Cars.

Kalamazoo Speedway

Kalamazoo Speedway

Kalamazoo (MI) Speedway, which is the fastest 3/8 mile asphalt oval in the world, hosts Super Late Models, Limited Late Models, Sportsman and Pure Stocks every Saturday night. Michigan’s only Dodge Weekly Racing Series track also features special events including the AVSS Sprints, USA Modifieds, Kalamazoo Klash, ASA Late Models, CRA Super Series and the Super Shoe Nationals.

Kamp Motor Speedway is a 3/8 mile semi banked clay oval located in Benton County in Boswell, Indiana. Races are held on Saturday nights and feature UMP Late Models, UMP Modifieds, Sportsman, and Street Stocks. Special events include The World of Outlaws Late Models, Northern Allstars Late Models, and UMP Summernationals.

Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series

The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series was founded in 2005 and sanctions dirt late model events across the nation. The series annually pays out over $2 million in race purse and point fund money and receives National exposure through taped-delayed events shown on the ESPN2 television network. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctions many high profile Dirt Late Model events, including the Dixie Shootout at Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, GA, the East Bay Winternationals at East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, FL, and the Masters 100 at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, WI.

M-40 Speedway

M-40 Speedway

M-40 Speedway is a 3/8 mile, D shaped asphalt oval with 20-degree banking in the turns. The track is located just 14 miles north of the Indiana State line on highway M-40 in Jones MI. M-40 races Late Models, Pro Stocks, and Pure Stocks on Friday nights. Specials include AVSS Sprints, a $10,000-to-win Late Model race and a Lane Automotive Challenge Series event.

Merritt Speedway

Merritt Speedway

Merritt Speedway is located in Northern Michigan near Lake City. The 3/8-mile clay surfaced track is home to more than 150 of the area’s top drivers every Saturday night from May until September. Merritt hosts four classes including Late Models, Street Stocks, Pro Trucks and Michigan Modifieds. Special events like Sprints On Dirt and The Soaring Eagle Outlaw Late Models are also featured.

Mid Michigan Motorplex

Mid Michigan Motorplex

The Motorplex is a NHRA sanctioned track located in Stanton, MI. In addition to a strong weekly bracket series sponsored by Lane Automotive and Edelbrock, the track hosts special events including a NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Race and the annual $50,000-to-win Super Pro Challenge Bracket Race.

Midwest Sprint Car Association (MSA)

The MSA races 360 sprint cars at several tracks in Wisconsin. An excellent mix of both experienced 410 class sprint car drivers, desiring to reduce costs, and first time drivers looking to take on the thrill of competing in a sprint car have joined the MSA. Car registration has increased every year since 1996, with the current car count at about 60.

The Midwest Super Comp Series sanctions 8.90 Super Comp and Quick Rod drag racing events at strips located in Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin.

New Paris Speedway

New Paris Speedway

New Paris is a 1/4 mile asphalt oval located in northern Indiana that holds races every Saturday night from the end of April through Mid-September. Racing classes include Late Models, Street Stocks, and Mini Stocks. They also have an exciting event called the Figure 8 Rumbler Races where drivers take their vehicles and compete head to head on a challenging figure 8 course. For special events, the track features MCR Dwarf cars, HOSS Sprints, Super Cup Series, CRA Super Series, and enduros.

Northwest Sprint Challenge Series (NSCS)

Northwest Sprint Challenge Series (NSCS)

The Northwest Sprint Challenge Series (NSCS) has been designed for the fun and enhancement of sprint car racing. The NSCS is working with promoters in the Northwest to unify rules for the 360 C.I. Sprint cars that will be running in the series. The NSCS will utilize the platform built by Brownfield Promotions and the National Sprint Tour (NST). This platform provides racing fans and participants with a fun and exciting traveling series competing at a variety of venues in the Northwest. The 2007 schedule consists of 20 races to be contested in Washington and Oregon.

Osceola Dragway

Osceola Dragway

Osceola dragway is a IHRA Division 5 sanctioned 1/4 mile dragstrip, offering Friday night test and tune as well as weekly Sunday bracket races. The track, which was founded in 1957, is located in North Central Indiana. Classes include Top Eliminator, Modified Eliminator, Motorcycle, Street, and Junior Dragster.

This 3/8 mile, semi high banked, asphalt oval located in Plymouth, IN, features Late Models, Pro Stocks, Street Stocks, Mini Stocks, and Front Wheel Drive Hornets racing on Saturday nights. Scheduled throughout the season are several Sunday programs with Shady Hill IMOD, CRA Late Model and CRA Street Stock Shows. Six Wednesday Night Thunder Specials are also scheduled including USAC Midgets, Kenyon Midgets, and Ford Focus Midgets. Plymouth Speedway features new bleachers, clean concessions, and clean restrooms. Also new this season will be the asphalt as the speedway is being totally repaved. Short Track Trucks Challenge Series

The Short Track Trucks Challenge Series sanctions asphalt oval track truck racing at tracks in Michigan and Indiana. The trucks are reproduction fiberglass-bodied 1999-2005 Ford F150, Chevrolet C-10/Silverado, GMC Sierra, and Dodge Ram. Engines and transmissions are Ford 302 ci/C4, Chevrolet 305ci/Turbo 350, and Dodge 318ci/727. Carburetor is limited to 500cfm 2 bbl Holley. Horsepower output reaches 340hp. Each truck is set on a 108 inch wheelbase chassis. To help control costs, General Motors 1978-87 metric frames are used only. Total weight of the truck, with driver and fluids, must be 2,850 lbs. minimum after the race event. The trucks ride on 15" steel wheels shod with Hoosier grooved racing rubber.

SOD races 360 cu. in. engined winged Sprint Cars on dirt tracks in Michigan, Ohio, Iowa and Ontario Canada. Sprints On Dirt is affiliated with the American Sprint Car Series (ASCS), which is the premier 360 Sprint Car sanctioning group in the nation. SOD has a rich history in the midwest and provides some of the most competitive racing and highest car counts of any Sprint Car group.

SUPERPRO Race Series

SUPERPRO Race Series

The SUPERPRO Race Series was developed to provide area racers and teams additional venues at local tracks during their off weekends from other like series. Identical rules were formulated to provide standardization across the differing series thus providing racers greater flexibility. The goal is to expand the use of SUPERPRO cars in the future and usher in cost controls to the racers themselves through carefully structured and standardized rules and car component design. From the "two tire" rule to the "Big 3" manufactured crate engine program, SUPERPRO is all about keeping racer costs down while providing them, safety, stability and performance in a proven race car design.

Tri County Racetrack is a 3/8 mile banked clay oval located near Brasstown, NC. Street and Modified Pony, Street and Modified Hobby, Limited and Super Late Models are the six classes that race weekly.

Thunderbird Race Park

Thunderbird Race Park is located near Muskegon, MI and features Saturday night races on the 3/8 mile clay oval. Classes include UMP Modifieds, UMP Sportsman, UMP Factory Stock, UMP 4 Cylinder, and V6 Thunderstocks. The Thunderbird complex also has a drag strip and motocross track.

USA Modified Series

USA Modified Series

The USA Modifieds are a touring series based in Fortville, IN that competes at paved tracks in Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Tennessee. The series races on tracks from 1/4 to 1/2 mile in size with main events 50-100 laps in length. The series boasts 80-plus registered drivers. Many racers have used this modified series to gain experience and progress to the upper levels of motorsports.

US 131 Motorsports Park

US 131 Motorsports Park

The US-131 Motorsports Park, located 20 minutes north of Kalamazoo in Martin, MI, has been a legendary 1/4 mile dragstrip since its construction in 1962. Originally known as Martin Dragway, theholder-track.png track underwent a complete renovation and reopened in the spring of 2002. The Motorsports Park offers first class accommodations to all visitors. Families particularly appreciate the restroom facilities, arguably the most modern for any public facility. US 131 has a history of offering the finest shows featuring the most prominent drivers in the sport of championship drag racing. The staff is committed to continuing that tradition at US 131 Motorsports Park, Michigan’s fastest race track.

WISSOTA Auto Racing can be seen at approximately 50 dirt tracks located in Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Wyoming, Ontario and Manitoba. The member tracks have organized into an association and work together for the betterment of short track racing all across the upper Midwest. Competing classes include Late Models, Modifieds, Super Stocks, Midwest Mods, Street Stocks, and Mod Fours. If you live in the region, your local track is probably a member of WISSOTA.
