For more than thirty years, Motor State Distributing in Watervliet, Michigan has been one of the country's premier automotive speed equipment and accessory distributors. Founded as a division of Lane Automotive in 1971, Motor State was among the first companies to bring wholesale speed equipment closer to the jobbers situated "east of the Rockies" who previously had no choice but to put up with long waits for shipments from California. Since its founding, Motor State Distributing has undergone amazing growth, outgrowing two buildings along the way to becoming a worldwide supplier of everything for the hot rodder.

Motor State Distributing caters exclusively to the needs of speed equipment and accessory jobbers, engine builders and chassis fabricators in the United States and Canada as well as those in such diverse markets as Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Holland, Belgium, Germany, and England. Daily shipments leave our docks via UPS and Federal Express.

Currently representing over 400 product lines, encompassing over 500,000 SKU's, Motor State services wholesale customers from a beautiful 153,000 square foot warehouse/office/showroom complex situated right off Interstate 94, at Exit 41, midway between Chicago and Detroit. Potential customers are invited to contact the New Accounts Manager for information on becoming a member of the Motor State Distributing Team.

Any racer or rodder will testify to the fact that one of the most expensive and time-consuming facets of any race car or hot rod is the acquisition and/or fabrication of the many small brackets, linkages and fittings needed to complete the project. We asked ourselves what could be done to make this aspect of car construction easier and less expensive. The answer: the Allstar line of hot rod hardware. Represented by its own colorful catalog, the Allstar line has gathered together in one place an outstanding collection of parts and accessories designed to work well, and save the car builder money. Many popular Allstar parts are "one-off" designs not to be found anywhere else. Capably manufactured for us by skilled craftsmen, many of whom are racers themselves, Allstar parts represent a wise investment.

In the early 1990's, the collectables market exploded. Suddenly, there were more 1/24th and 1/18th scale collectable NASCAR die cast cars on the market than anyone would have ever believed possible. While the die cast market was still relatively "green", Lane Automotive carefully studied the products available, eventually choosing those they felt were of the highest quality. When the selections were made, the Lane Collectables division became a reality, at both the retail and wholesale levels. It wasn't long before Lane Collectables established itself as one of the nation's major distributors of high quality, die cast collectable cars and trucks.
