An estimated 1300 cars stopped by the Lane Automotive facility Monday, June 4th for a Hospitality Stop on Day 3 of their 8 day Hot Rod Power Tour. The tour departed Muskegon, Michigan on Monday morning to make their way to Champaign, Illinois. Lane Automotive provided a Hospitality Lunch Stop along the way. With a departure time of 8:30 AM from Muskegon, it was estimated that the time of arrival for the group would be right around 10:00 AM. Much to the surprise of the Lane Automotive Event Staff, groups of cars started arriving as early as 7:30 AM. As the parking lot and lawn parking areas began to fill up, and a line formed at the Showroom entrance, it was apparent that a large turnout was at hand.

Beautiful weather and the aroma of grilled hot dogs kept the enthusiastic crowd mingling and conversing for several hours. As soon as visitors would exit for the remainder of their trip to Champaign, more members of the touring group would arrive to fill the emptied spots. Power Tour visitors were treated to a summertime picnic-style lunch of grilled hot dogs, potato and macaroni salads, chips, drinks, and delicious cookies. The outstanding Lane Automotive grilling crew cranked out over 2,500 dogs for the hungry guests and kept the food tables well stocked at all times. A limited edition Lane Automotive/Aeroquip, Hot Rod Power Tour collector Frisbee served as the plate holder for all lunchtime attendees. Additionally, manufacturer supplied T-shirts and hats were given out to all Power Tour participants who visited the check-in desk.

Thousands of hot rodders had a chance to visit the large Lane Automotive Showroom where some of them picked up needed repair parts to get them back on the road or a nice collectable souvenir that will serve as a reminder of their great time on the Tour.

Lane Automotive would like to thank all those participants who took the time to stop by, have lunch, and visit the facility, the manufacturers and manufacturers' representatives who helped out with product and taking the time to make this event what it was. Special Thanks to the Berrien County Sheriff's Department and Watervliet Fire Department for their assistance with traffic control and overseeing the safety of our guests and crew during the event.

Last but not least, a big thanks to the dedicated and hardworking Lane Automotive staff for all their efforts in making sure our guests had a wonderful experience during their visit.
